We live a few miles from a nuclear power plant. The company that owns it sends us a booklet each year detailing what to do in case of an emergency. To their credit, in the 20 years we've been here, said emergency has never happened. Still, I thought it might be prudent to have a radiation counter/dosimeter on hand. I ordered this after reading reviews and I can report it seems to work well. I charged it and turned it on and it immediately began recording background radiation at our home (see images for the two screen views it offers). I plan on taking it near the nuke plant just to see if the background changes. The unit comes with a clear plastic shield for the screen. there is a small green tab to assist in removing it, but I left it on for added protection. The instruction manual is well-written and mostly tells you everything you need to know to set the date, time, alarms, etc. I did have to intuit how to change the units once I got to the right location. but it wasn't that hard. (Hint: tap the OK button). My order arrived faster than I expected and was well-packaged and the device seems solidly made. All in all, I'm very satisfied.

These sandals are "toe roomy" and good for casual use that doesn't involve long walks or crossing rugged ground. The soles just aren't thick enough for rugged terrain and they lack support for long walks on hard surfaces. That said, they seem to be well-constructed and are far better than your typical 'slides' or flip-flops for everyday use, a fun summer shoe for the price.

I got this light for night use (i.e. trips to the bathroom) and keep it on the nightstand next to the bed. I like it for a number of reasons: ...It's small and doesn't take up a lot of room. ...It's solidly built, actually very heavy duty. ...It uses only one AA battery. I've used both Alkaline and Rechargeables. ...It sports a cool little belt clip that keeps it from rolling off the nightstand. ...The LED is bright and casts a large, bright green circle of light. ...It allows me to use the bathroom at night without turning on room lights. ...And finally, green is the color of light least likely to affect one's night vision. It would also make a good portable light for your auto. In that case, the light has a ragged-edged front that could possibly be used to break out a window if you are trapped after an accident. I have not tested this. I should also note that though you can use a rechargeable AA battery in it, the light itself does not permit recharging the battery while installed.

I bought this to entertain our granddaughter (age 4+). It works very well with a rather impressive and variable display. It is small, pocketable, easy to operate, and the price can't be beat.

This is a cute little toy musical instrument. It produces sound that is close to musical notes but given its small size, it's obvious that it is rudimentary at best. It seems well-made and should hold up with use.

I purchased the red version of these for protection when using a green laser. The laser I had is much more intense than red ones I;ve used before and I had my doubts as to whether these glasses could provide adequate protection. As soon as they arrived, I placed them on a counter with a white wall for a nearby background. I then shone the laser through the lens to see how much of its light made it to the white wall. To my surprise and satisfaction, none did. I was unable to see any light getting through (see image). These safety glasses seem to offer enough protection for incidental exposures.

zormsk Since "Modern" is spelled correctly on the hat itself, I'd guess it's a misprint and one of the reasons why the hat is inexpensive.

I needed a way to keep the power cord from my Garmin Dashcam in one place and out of the windshield view. These were perfect. The clips are great for small diameter cables. They are easy to install and the adhesive backing works very well. The power cable on my dashcam wasn't long enough to snake it around to keep it out of sight and dangled in my view off the rearview mirror. I used three of these to run it down the side of the window and across the dash to the cig lighter. All clips have held well despite freezing temps at night and warm sunny days.

I ordered two of these clips and am glad I did because I broke the cable holder on one trying to open it wide enough to get my headphone cord inside. I used the second one and was able to attach it to the smaller split cables leading directly to the earbuds. I use it to clip the line to my shirt while working out. Keep the earbud line out of the way and works well. Just be careful not to try and insert a larger line in the clip.
