BG163447221 I had the exact opposite effect. The 445nm wave length laser turned into an ultra brite white light. I couldn't even stand looking at a reduce power beam to adjust the focal point of the laser.

realblades It is meant for switching. That's what one of the push buttons and the LEDs are for. Description says it cycles opt1, opt2, coax and aux.
