Sounds are pretty subjective, really. Sometimes we WANT a muddy sound to sound different. This pedal is pretty muddy, but there is a place for that. There are other sounds you can achieve fiddling around, it's really not a bad pedal. I just so happened to also get a Mosky Brown Sound at the exact same time and I'm super impressed with THAT one. Find sound samples online and make your decision. You can't beat the price.

Ordered 2, came back and ordered one for my parents and another for myself, coming back again to order more for my parents, haha. These work great. I have mine in my broom closet and they attached theirs on their stairs. Hope the battery lasts long enough but so far so good.
