Q: Does the product raise voltage.?

zapytał Ramazan Uzundere na 2020-11-28 07:36:39

josn0 No. If powered by USB-C PD with max voltage 20V, the max selectable output voltage is 17.98V. So about 2V drop. Max current settable is 6.1A, but that cannot be correct as my PD supply is 65W, So max current should be ~3.6A.

josn0 Ifthe Vauxhall car has a OBD2 connector, and it uses CAN bus, it should probably fine. Some cars use non-standard plugs for ODB2, meaning you need a converter (which is probably more expensive than this plug. And some cars use non-standard, non-open protocols, meaning you cant do much. Google is your friend here..

josn0 Themodule is pre-flashed with a (simple) demo camera webserver. Power it on (using 5 V on the 5V power pin (near the reset button) and ground on one of the GND pins). Then find the new accesspoint with your laptop or phone (forgot the name, but you'll find it). Point the browser to 192.168.4.1. I think it was http://192.168.4.1/jpg for a picture, http://192.168.4.1/jpg_stream for a stream. If you have a USB-serial cable, connect that to pins marked U0T and U0R (and GND of course), Start some serial communication prog on the PC, set it to 115200 Baud, then poweron the module, or push the reset button. If you have no output, you probably have TX and RX wrong: swap and try again. It shows you lots of boot messages, and ultimately shows you the SSID to connect to, and the URL's to use. Later you install the arduino gui, add the esp32 boards, and try the CamWebServer demo that is included. There is lots of help on Youtube! Success!
