Any electronic service bench needs an adjustable power supply and this is the heart of a bargain supply. It's an old school analog circuit that works very well. Assembly is straight forward and easy. It's advised that you use an ohm meter to verify the resistors as you place them onto the pcb. The color bands are very thin and some reds look like browns, etc. You have adjustment for both voltage and current. The optional heatsink and fan are recommended for safe operation. You'll need to provide an enclosure, power transformer, metering and output connectors.

Heat sink & fan allow use of full current for extended time with this power supply. I wouldn't run the supply without this added to safe guard life of unit. Right size, right price.
