Bought it after a quite long search. Reading tons of reviews and seeing a lot of Youtube videos. The closest contestants were: Xiaomi's A1 and Note 2. Finally a few things won the match: - AMOLED display: A1 has only IPS - 16MP selfie cam (I was always absent from the family photos!) - fingerprint scanner is the home button - price: cheaper than A1 and a lot cheaper than Note 2 Overall: feels very thin and small. Metal surfaces dominate the back which feels great. The hardware: has the same Snapdragon 625 chipset which we have perfect experience in our Redmi 5+ and Lenovo P8 tablet. No words to waste: completely enough for anything I could imagine. Screen: well AMOLED, what would we expect? Yes, a perfect contrast and beautiful colors! My wife has a Redmi 5+ with normal IPS and to tell the truth she was really missing the super amoled screen from her previous Samsung phone :( So I decided to cheat and not to tell her my phone will have amoled display also... but she cried out for the first glance: oh, it has a beautiful screen, I wan't my Xiaomi exchanged!!! So the screen is simply THAT good... And one more thing! The saturation of the screen can be easily changed from meny, so - unlike the average chinese phones - it can be set to display WARM and VIVID colors! (I have a theory that people of European cultures need/like warm and vivid colors a LOT more than people of the East) Camera: unfortunately I had no possibility to compare to A1, but can't be compared to my previous Samsung J5: this takes almost noiseless photos in low light conditions. Daylight the pictures are clear, having exceptionally vivid colors! Two things other people often mention: - Android 6 - Although Android One program was a BIG +++ for A1, but in real world I'm always wondering and really don't know why it should I care which version does it have while it works fine and smooth? - Type C connector: Others say it's a positive, but I HATE it! All of my other devices are using micro USB standard, so you can imagine how did I need this incompatibility... Admit it, it's slightly better that I don't have to worry about the plugging direction, but for what price?? I had to buy and use a lot of adapters and ALWAYS having one for the cars, for the motorcycles, for the bedroom, for my private working room at home, for my workplace etc... this one is real sucks! (and imagine, that because of the extra length of an adapter the socket is a LOT more vulnerable because of the larger bending torque!) GRRRRR... In fact having a type C connector is the only real negative I can mention about this phone.
