Q: what size fan can i put in this case

BottaioRetroTech Won'tfit when you use the S-800-65V, since there won't be any room inside left. Also that specific SMPS has already a fan build-in. Now when you would swap it out for an SMPS with a smaller footprint, the maximum fan size would be approximately 50mm.

Q: Hello, Is the output current of this power source 12A or 18A? The name RD6018 suggests that this is the 18A version but it has the same description as the 6012 stating 12A!

BottaioRetroTech TheRD6018(W) itself has indeed a rated output of 18A, mine currently tops out at 18.10A. This is only the S-800-65V SMPS, which delivers a maximum of 11.4A. They added the RD6018 moniker of saying that it's compatible with that module.

Quite honestly it's a reasonable quality product so far, but they should be more careful with packing. Even though it was packaged in styrofoam, i spotted 2 flaws when i unpacked it. 2 corners of the sheet metal were bent, whereas 1 of them was also quite warped. Nothing what a set of pliers can't fix, but i don't think it's supposed to be shipped that way. Just because of the uncareful treatment during packaging at the factory, i have to give it 3 stars.

Bought it because i've read good reviews of the Riden products. Gotta say they didn't lie about it. The box itself, what can i say about it? Great packaging, which makes you expect an excellent product. Once i took the module out of it's packaging, i was quite impressed. The finish and overall feel were beyond my expectations. Compact, sturdy, high quality finish. Also like the overall style of the laser engraving, which isn't too dark. Because of that it also gives it a nonintrusive slick look, which i prefer. As for the screen, very vibrant and clear. Also the size of the screen is more than enough! And about the menu's. It gives you the right amount of info, especially when you consider it's price range. It's also quite easy to navigate and easy to set up. What about the absence of a manual? Meh.... can't be bothered, since there's a card included which leads you to a digital copy of a manual.

This case arrived a few minutes ago, but the first impressions are quite good. Especially for it's price, the finish of it's exterior is outstanding. Even the colour is a nice throwback for retro fans, since the colour gives that nostalgic old-school 80's/90's feeling. Ofcourse i know that this colour is mostly used in electronic labs, but i just wanted to point that out for people who also use these things for powering and testing out vintage equipment. Also the build quality of the enclosure is something i won't complain about. Even though it's shell is thin metal, the overall quality feels is quite sturdy. The plus side is that the entire system (incl. the smps and rd60xx module) won't be too heavy when assembled, which is a bonus imho. There's only one little thing that could be improved though, which kind off makes the assembly even more straight forward. Replacing the currently separate IEC connector and on/off switch for an AIO version, thus having the IEC and switch combined as 1 component. My rating for this product is very good! As for the packaging it arrived it, that's excellent! Nicely packaged in a decent amount of styrofoam, which protects it perfectly.

BottaioRetroTech Ifi'm correct, you should have gotten a card within the box which let's you download the manual. Once you downloaded the manual, open it (pdf file), there should be a link which let's you download the software. Also the PC software is the same for the entire RD60XX range.
