Works great (tested on 12V), but the upper limit for input voltage is lower than 40V. At 34V input voltage the diode on the back reached a temperature of over 80°C within a few seconds of connecting.

Input of 12V, I tested with a brushless DC motor, ESP and a servo tester for simple contol of power and the output voltage was constant even under some loads from the motor (breaking by my fingers) - so I think it works well. Didn't check the ripple voltage and high current behaviour, but in my test the heat-sinks of the converter didn't even get hand-warm (in opposit to the motor, which became hot) ;-) Good product for this price!

This DC to DC converter is great for all kinds of things. I tried it with 12V input and 5V output, and the voltage was stable on low power consumption (250mA) and even on much higher too (3000mA). So it is great when you need more than 1000mA and want stable voltage.
