The remote will not survive if dropped. Very cheap plastic. The buttons are capacitive touch sensitive which is very nice...when they work. They don't always register the finger press which gets frustrating. The dimmer box is very well made. Uses a metal case and well designed and assembled circuit board, however, the listing claims the lowest dimming setting is 2%. This is wrong, it is 20%. This is too bright for night lighting in my case and now have to look for an alternative solution.
