BG132281016 This may help: the negative battery connection is through the enclosure to the edge of the pcb on top - a small ring of circuitboard with some solder, maybe 50 micrometers wide ! Solder some solderblobs around this edge and presto - it works fine ;-)

I would never buy one these again. The flashlight would not work unless it was plugged in to a usb port. I am totally disgusted.

Nice, heavy duty lamp. Very high output - eg. i have a Perel (Velleman) 7.4V-18650 2200 mAh rechargeable LED worklight of some years back but even in highpower mode, it is "dim"compared to this torch. Mode switching: Press once - main torch on - hold switch 3 sec: torch off Rapid switch 2* - high power white sidelight Press switch once more - low power white sidelight Press once more - red sidelight Press once more - red light blinking Press once more - off Haven't found the way to charge a phone yet - seems to work only, when torch is switched on! Software in lhe lamp seems somewhat erratic - reset by unscrewing cap and release battery for a few seconds seems to do the trick..
