kabidey No the fan is not turning on at 10A load also, the toroid heats up like hell and smokes. the fan is not turning on. the circuit is also not clear, if it is thyresister dependent or current sensing.

kabidey it will do if the supply current is more than 80amp and voltage is more than 12 volts, also the timing must be adjusted also, the longer you jolt it the more heat it will produce. be aware the lion batteries are dangerous. use a test setup to weld two nickel slips with variable voltage and current to get a good weld with minimum time and least heat.
