Q: What upgrades other than the ones offered fit the HB Toys Rtr R1001/2/*****.4G? , 1/10 rock crawler. Do other truck upgrades from other trucks like the TRX4 fit? How about universal parts? I need to know before I buy. Thanks

YARCWest You can fit a hobbywing Fusion is in it. The RC4WD Bronco grill fits on it as well.

YARCWest@BG121450184 Sorry, I missed the notification on this. I used a Hobbywing Fusion SE, FlashHobby 35kg servo, Treal Wheels, Redcat Ascent Fusion tires (I moved these over after upgrading the Ascent Fusion), and RC4WD diff covers. I have the list on the video on YT.

You DO NOT get a 6000 mAh battery, only a 3000. I'm not sure that the locking diffs and lightbar are worth the additional price over the R1001. The extra scale details are awesome but the two big problems with the R1001 still remain, the receiver is not waterproof and will cut out when it encounters water, and the steering servo is far too weak. If you upgrade the wheels, tires, servo, and ESC, you're still getting a better truck than a full price TRX4. For it's protentional I give it 4 stars.

Mine did not come with axle hexes or axle pins. There is quite a bit of slop in the front and rear axles so you get play to the point where you may lose and axle pin (I lost two). The wheels and tires are incredibly bad. The rear bumper cannot be tightened down and is just loose all the time. However, the foundation of the truck is very good, very solid. The axles are beefy and heavy, the truck articulates very well, and it wasn't a challenge to get all the electronics mounted, though the motor mount screws did not fit my Fusion SE. The kit did come with a pinion gear, which is also nice. Would recommend, see my entire review on my YT channel @YARCWest

The truck is definitely worth the price. Be aware that the receiver is NOT waterproof and will cut out pretty quickly after encountering water. Also, the stock servo is pathetically weak. Apart from the obvious tire upgrades, it's a good truck.
