Worked like a charm the very first time I tested it. Provides good clean USB output, plus you can even listen via headphones, earbuds etc while recording via USB to Audacity to produce mp3 (or wav.) files I am now using it to convert my large 1980's collection of Exidy Sorcerer 1200 baud tapes to .wav files.

Very useful range of prototype boards. After soldering a component, leads can then be bent and soldered to any nearby soldered component - best to use insulation to avoid contacting other leads.

The stand supplied for this low cost version is not stable at all, any slight vibration is magnified to make it difficult to use - I was able to temporarily weigh the stand down to help fix this problem. So I strongly suggest purchasing the same item with an adjustable stand. See my more recent review of the stand, which made it much more usable!

The battery was not insulated for travelling and as vibration seems to turn it on, consequently it was flat (0.4 volts) on arrival. So I had to replace it! I suggest that the battery be packed separately at the factory to avoid this in future. I works as expected, but the "Carbon Fibre claim" is a lie as it is ordinary black plastic!

Very pleased with this purchase - I bought the microscope on special a month or two ago but its simple stand was much too shaky. Buying this on special makes it much more usable for my electronics hobby.

Poor quality device, standard mini hot glue Does Not Fit !!! Shipped with US power plug only. Not worth buying (and waiting for), as it was shipped (slowly) from Belgium to New Zealand, taking just 3 days short of 2 months!
