pfeerick I agree with nigelj... I think it will be problematic at best. Behaviour of the AP is to turn around and reach altitude, and then fly around the takeoff - power up point... I don't know how it would cope with the fact that the boat never reaches altitude - it could work, or it could just keep going straight until it hits something. Plus, depending on size of the lake or river, it would probably hit the bank anyway as it circles... since it wants to circle around the point where you put it into the water. But if your goal is to simply get it to come back, and then take over manually once you can see or control it again, it could work... it really would be trial and error.

pfeerick It should be, and this is my intention. The touch screen digitiser and hall effect gimbals are available as spare parts, as well as the metal roller. The folding handle that has been included in the latest version is also available separately.

pfeerick You can flash Tasmota onto your RF Bridge, and then you can either use it as a bridge for home automation software like Home Assistant, or use the three rulebanks to respond to all eight buttons, and even multiple remotes.

pfeerick Only a compatible 5.8Ghz analog video transmitter on your FPV multirotor. If you want to use the built in DVR (recorder), you'll need a microSD card (which inserts at the top of the goggles) so that there is somewhere for the recordings to be saved.

pfeerick It's a matter of reading the fine print... "ABS Wheel menu button". I think all of the images bar one show the ABS - plastic roller, one shows the knurled metal roller. I suspect this is the 'lite' version of the TX16S, hence the lower price. Should be able to replace the roller if desired in the future, as well as the gimbals, so not really an issue.

pfeerick Ships with OpenTx. You'll want to upgrade to 2.4 of OpenTx when it is released, as IIRC that version will enable the touch screen.

pfeerick No. This autopilot doesn't have waypoints. It can only 1) self-level or 2) either return to home (home being where it got a position fix after being powered up) or a 'fence' mode. There is no programming of destinations possible.

pfeerick This relay board is low level (pull down) triggered. The three pin header with the jumper on the end (blue in the picture, yellow on the ones I received a few months ago) is not for high-low triggering. It is for choosing to use the VCC connection to power both the relays AND the optoisolator circuitry, or to externally power the relays. When the two pins nearest the edge of the board are connected the relay power (JD-VCC) and VCC power tracers are joined, meaning that whatever is providing power via the VCC pin needs to have enough capacity to trigger and power all the relays circuitry. The circuitry power consumption is negligible, and the relays are about ~60mA each. If you want or need to power the relays separately, you would remove the jumper, and connect power to those GND and JD-VCC pins, and continue to power the onboard optoisolators via the GND and VCC pins in that central header pin block. This is for situations such as using an Arduino to control the setup, as if all eight relays were on, that's ~480mA, which is at the extreme maximum load recommended for most Arduino boards, and doesn't take into account the surge of the relay firing, hence is not recommended if you intend the whatever you're designing to be stable or reliable.

pfeerick Ifit's a warranty issue, you really should be contacting banggood's customer service, as this is more the community QA section. Try leaving the BW-AS1 on charge overnight on a good known-working USB charger, just in case your battery has run down that low that it's doing a low current pre-charge to get the battery back into it's operational range before charging it harder\faster.

pfeerick Iinitially had trouble, but then force power cycled the unit by disconnecting the battery, reconnecting it again after a few seconds, and trying again. I have just updated from the original V1.0 my unit was shipped with, to V2.1 from the github repo: GYelectronic GY_LCD_MLX90640

pfeerick Thisunit is powered from the AC 80-260V that it is measuring. There is no battery.

pfeerick No, it is a thermal camera only. The only image you will see on the screen is from heat sources - there is no secondary camera to capture normal visible light imagery to use as an overlay.

pfeerick I have yet to see any mention in the watch firmware screens or in the Lefun Health android app of any control of the display brightness. I think we're out of luck on this point.

pfeerick No current sensor, and no high-current path for the sense path, but at least you can connect the flight battery, so it looks to have voltage sensing. Another copy 'n paste fail... and over six months later the error (or should that be 'deceptive advertising'?) still exists.

Q: failsafe configuration

pfeerick There are two failsafe options - the classic Spektrum 'SmartSafe' - i.e. the throttle will cut, and all other channels will hold their last command - and programmable. Which you program is dependent on whether you bind with the bind plug still connected or not. 1. With both the transmitter and receiver turned off, connect your bind plug to the receiver, and power it up. 2) To use the SmartSafe failsafe, leave the bind plug in, and skip to step 3. To program the failsafe, now pull the bind plug out of the receiver. 3) Follow the normal bind process for your transmitter - i.e. hold a button or switch down whilst turning it on to enter bind mode. 4) Remove the bind plug if still connected, and cycle the power on both the transmitter and receiver. Check that the failsafe does what you intended, by switching the transmitter off whilst the model is in a safe state. i.e. with no propeller on the motor, etc.

pfeerick If you're referring to this set (https://www.banggood.com/DANIU-25-in-1-Multi-purpose-Precision-Screwdriver-Wallet-Set-Repair-Tools-p-940063.html), I don't think so. That screwdriver set seems to use an unusual mechanism to lock the bits into the handle, instead of the standard 4mm hexagon shaped bit which this unit accepts.
