LDRider Not sure what you mean by fixed or floating, it’s sort of both. The caliper is fixed to the motorcycle and cannot move at all. Pistons on both side move the pads to the disk so the pads you could say are floating. This way the pads always move appropriately to the disk and there cannot be any side force on the disk resulting from the way a normal caliper pushes the piston to one side of the disk and pulls the other pad on a sliding caliper along pins that can get corroded or worn and jam. Because the pistons are on each side, both powered by the master cylinder, there must always be equal pressure on each side of the disk and no sideways force distorting the disk.

LDRider It will work fine. It will spin a little faster is all. I have power tools and machine tools that have worked in the US and the Philippines at 60hz and Australia at 50hz.
