adparker60 Using a 2s battery with <420 gram plane (including battery weight) weight, a 9x4 prop, I would think around 15 Amp. Give yourself a little room. But someone said 20-30amp ESC,, no, no. unless you want to melt the motor.

adparker60 Its an "AC" not a "DC" motor. I recommend you should return it and buy a motor with 2mm bullets already soldered on. The three wires then plug in to the female 2mm bullet connectors from the ESC. The ESC has a controller that does the conversion to run the AC motor and speed of the motor. If the motor turns the wrong direction then swap 2 of the 3 wires and try again. It should turn in the correct direction then.
