boy was i happy this thing worked. i live in canada and have 220v split phase to my garage. hooked the vfd up and it powers up the little horizontal mill no problem. output was 400v at 60Hz, which is great. speed control works really good. my mill has a 2 speed motor, so i have to stop the vfd before i switch to the second speed or reverse with the mill control switch. VFD forward and reverse work and so does the deceleration time, which is pretty nice feature. the front panel is very cheap, but works. i ordered some nice push buttons and a potentiometer to make a wired control panel. motor i have is 380v three phase of unknown config (delta or wye) but worked with this unit. its supposed to run at 0.7Kw (2.4A) at 695rpm, and 1.1kw (2.4A) at 1400rpm, but it drew 3.5 and 4.0 amps respectively at 50hz each. i think this is fine. motor was very torquey at all speeds, i was not able to stall it with a 2x6 levering on the spindle sheave. the max amps it drew while i was trying to stall it was 4.2A. i am glad i over rated the drive for the motor demand, as it seems to be a bit hungry when not on real 3ph and it could have gone over a smaller spec one. the only thing i would have wanted is for it to use a standard type of plug for the control panel, so i could just remote mount the control for now, before i make the new panel. as i really want to install the drive way below in the casting as it makes a quiet but really annoying noise. sounds almost like bad bearing noise. had to pay duty or clearance whatever, of 40$ i think? i cant recall the exact amount. just expect that. would have been 5 stars if the case was better, the wire terminations were big enough for crimped wire ends, and if the panel used rj45 for an extension cable instead of random ribbon type. Either way, this will take my canadian spaghetti power and turn in into weird european 380v3ph and run a pretty decently powered mill. i am happy as long as it lasts a year or two for this price!

Q: Will these work for a wood lathe tool? Is the top cupped (concave)?

Jasonasselin Not sure if you want positive rake on a wood lathe, but yes, they are shaped like a tiny bowl, where the rim is raised above the middle.

Q: What are the sizes in 19 collet set? Is it inch or mm?

zapytał PEAKEY na 2018-07-11 04:23:38

Jasonasselin theyare measured in MM, as an example one collet will say 3-4mm and will measure exactly 4mm inside.

Jasonasselin nothis drive outputs 380-400v, you can use a different drive to change the frequency. but it is likely your washer will work fine at 50 hz anyway. usually a washing machine is not 3 phase also, so better check that first
