Usable,however I have serious objections. 1) the metal bar is too easily moving in the black part. You will have problem to keep it steady in place until the clutch lever fixes it. 2) the metal bar readily rotates so the measure marks gets hidden and next time you need to rotate it again.

I tried the needle in my press and it works beautifully: just help it stabilized by hand and it will point exactly the center. Still you need proper light to align workpiece exactly to the needle tip. Recommended.

Just one word: splended. Got it in no time, everything is here as announced. Bit the operation is far beyond my expectations. When choosing the temperature with potentiometer knob, it will pass just a few seconds until the tool is warmed for operation from 5°C to say 165°C! Beautiful. You can see my first test on wood, my artistic abilities are zero, but this tool works like a charm, at least for me as a beginner.

I am surprised with the quality (160mm). The sprockets have little less then1,5mm diameter, suitable for most refills. The first picture shows line at 15mm distance, the second one the 160mm line, and they are exactly split-line of my referential combination squre (proven quality). 90° are also dead punctual. Also the head has considerable weight, which balances perfectly the rest of the ruler, giving very comfortable operation when line is drawn. I have no idea if the larger dimensions of this ruler are that well balanced or punctual, but seriously I am considering buying other dimensions as well.
