I tested this and compared it to the level on my tripod and the electronic level built into one of my cameras. While the tripod and electronic level agreed, this level was slightly out. It seemed to be caused by a bit of play on the hot shoe (fixable with a piece of paper between the level and the hoe shoe). The error is small enough to be easily edited out in post production without loosing much of the photo. Be careful if using it with stitched phots though as a wide pan will create a larger difference unless you use the suggested fix.
