As described in the listing this reel is very light, weighing in at 8oz. out of the box it cranks very smooth and appears to be good quality construction. The bevel on the lip of the spool is very nice. It reduces friction with the line as it comes off during casts. a great design feature. the cork grip on the arm is very nice and provides comfort and nice grip. the length of the arm adds a little more cranking power for larger fish. This reel came somewhat heavily greased. i opened the body and wiped out the heavy excess grease. this helped reduce the amount of force required to reel and improved the action a little bit. I recommend using a good gear oil with it instead of the grease. the carbon fiber work looks very good, no seams, no sharp edges. very nice looking reel.

Reel is just ok as it shows it's weaknesses with serious bass fishing. Bale and screws needed to be secured with loctite after first day. After that it is working as a basic reel. It's not a Shimano
