Don't know why but this guy needed a full day before it to send expected data. I checked the wiring, used another arduino, etc. but nothing would come out of this chip but unusable binary stuff. The led was flashing - thus indicating that the GPS was receiving signals but the chip was sending nothing useful to my arduino. The battery needed to be charged or else? Really don't know why. Then I got the date and time ok, and a few minutes later all data flow I expected. Works fine since.

Excellent product. Good value. Shipping took almost 60 days, and BG didn't offer tracking details, so paying $2 more on Amazon would have been a better plan.

I'm very satisfied with this. I needed something that can provide raw data and I'm very happy that it can. No problems so far.
