These tuning pegs arrived in double quick time and I was most pleased by their appearance. The knobs, though only molded plastic have a nice veined marble effect that looks really good. The metal has a lustrous gold effect which is very pleasing to my avaricious eye. I was mounting them on an old Japanese copy of Django Reinhardt's Macaferri. The diameter of the winding posts was a lot wider than the original holes but I re-drilled with a 12mm bit and given a bit of router effect wiggling, this gave sufficient room for a snug fit. The finished job is shown in the photo.

They appear to be excelent when seen from far away but they have small glitches that can easily be seen from up close. Also gold plating is not the best!!!

They look pretty good, but when I fitted them on the guitar and turned one peg, it broke without even a string attached to it. The handle broke with no pressure at all... After that, I fitted a string to the next peg and tried to wind it and - what a surprise - it broke, too...!! So, unless you want to use them as a decoration, they will not be of much use to you, since they tend to break when you wind the guitar...
