rfhound I'd appreciate if you either send the info to fix the HF part, or send a link to where I can find the details. I found a place on the stick where standard AM radio sounds great by just touching the via with the point of a mechanical pencil. I found the main board has what appears to have a preamp, but there is no voltage on the semiconductor. I would like to monitor the HAM HF frequencies which is why I need to find the fix.

asier HF input doesn't work because there are not soldered three connections between boards. You should connect both Q inputs of RTL chip with transistor on main board. Also add power supply to this transistor - I did this connection using wire because soldering through hole on the bottom side was difficult.
