In a test of a room tempareture (with other reliable digital thermocouple thermometer ) DT-500 had the same indication. It was tested in flame tempareture (above 400 Celsius indications) and in freezer temparetures (around - 30 Celsius). Human skin measurements ,depending on skin, are not accurate and need Emissivity setting readjustments ,but Emissivity setting is a great advantage of DT-500.Great Value for Price.

I use it to check brushless motor temperature, 3D printer heated bed & nozzle temp.. etc. If you like bbq during summer, then use this to check the external meat temperature. Comes oem packed in simple bubble plastic foil. Also included is a basic manual. Nice product, feels very comfortable handling.
