Item received promptly in good condition. Silicone pad is approximately 2mm thick. The pad incorporates a perimeter border measuring approximately (5mm Wide) X (4mm Thick). That perimeter border should facilitate containment of smaller parts, in general. Overall, this silicone pad (being reasonably heat resistant as well as 'softer' & flexible) should both protect the supporting platform/desk/bench and the work material while containing the various working materials (such as screws, nuts, washers, lockwashers, solder, screwdrivers, nut drivers, wrenches,...) It incorporates a selection of 8 each molded parts containment sectors along the perimeter of both one side and adjoining end. Reasonable value.
