Recived non functional flashlight. Twisty head was stuck probably by locktite or similar stuff. With all my power it wouldn't move. Manage to screw head open and soaked tube in hot water. Gently using two pliers and some leather strips for protection i was able to took all other parts open there was locking fluid all over the place! Cleaned parts put some silicone grease where it should be... Now it is good flashlight. .. ... But... I wasn't looking for diy kit! So thats why points are.

It's a very cute small flashlight with titanium material. But the cost was cheap. And it has strobe mode! Very nice small Ti flashlight from Astrolux.

What a nice little light! With the slightly bigger head and the smooth twisty action it's easy to operate in full darkness. This one will stay next to the bed and soon i will add a tritium vial is the designated space in the tailcap. I use a rechargeable AAA battery and the light is more than enough. Especially the moon/firefly mode at night is nice. The strobe mode not so much but with a small twist that's fixed...

Feels beautiful and projects a bright light on highest setting. Progressive intensities (low, medium, high & strobe) is a bit strange but not hard to get used to. Strobe setting is good. Orange peel reflector gives a very even light. Appears to be well made except that the grey etched 'Astrolux' name and 'on' & 'off' markers are very small and difficult to read on the titanium surface. That is only cosmetic and does not affect the function. Also enclosed are two spare O-rings and a keyring.

I gave this 4 stars for quality only because the controls are a little difficult to operate sometimes due to extremely tight tolerances relative to the size of the device. Be sure to order a tritium vial for the tailcap. (I chose green). Glue the tritium vial in place with clear watch crystal adhesive that can be purchased online from a watchmaker supply house.
