I assembled it within an hour. It is working properly. Instructions manual is in Chinese it should be english. At89c2051 is working properly no problem except one red led which has not Working so I replaced it. Good Design. I am very impressed with the P.C.B. of this clock. PCB as provided on Banggood is very very good it is Glass epoxy type. It is a very good project for new comer in electronics by making this DIY kit. very prompt and quick service by Banggood. Thanks

Overall a nice little project for a fair price. Some detailed points: - The received PCB did not match the figures precisely, but the PCB had the same functionality as the one in the figure, plus a power jack power input. - PCB was self-explanatory, and therefore beginner-friendly. - A component appeared to be missing: "L1". After looking at the circuit closely, it turned out that it simply needed a zero ohm resistor (i.e., wire), which was unclear. (See brown wire in my figure.) - The buzzer is impossibly soft when using the alarm function, whereas it is full-volume loud when using the countdown function. How come? From looking at the circuit, the buzzer is simply connected to one output pin of the IC via a transistor. Therefore, I reckon the difference must be in the software? After all, there is no hardware-difference between the alarm and countdown function. - The alarm sounds for merely three seconds, and then it's done. No snooze, etc. That cannot be used as a wake-up alarm or anything, so that's a disappointment. - Clock, countdown, and stopwatch features work perfectly. Question: what is R18 (5.1 kOhm) for? It is connected in parallel to the buzzer. I reckon it was supposed to be in series to limit the current through the buzzer, as it currently does not have a resistor at all?

Received product was not identical to the photos, but seems to be a new version which now also has a power jack input. It was easy to figure out where to connect all parts. Overall a good little project! The only disappointment is the "alarm" function: the buzzer only sounds for three seconds at a ridiculously low volume. This seems to be a software issue to me, as the buzzer does sound very loud when the "countdown" function is used, and the buzzer is connected to only one pin of the IC.

Nice kit - Easy to assemble. One track over etched and track open cct - see photo for repaired track. One of the 3mm red LED's not working and I replaced it but didn't match brightness.
