It not a great sounding mic but it makes a big difference to the onboard mic. I've tested it in my motorcycle helmet and it worked. No bass, very thin sound. It sounds a bit like an old intercom or wired-phone but that's ok. The important frequencies of a voice are recorded so you can understand what's said even with a lot of windnoise ore other background noise. After filtering wind noise in post-production the voice will sound funny anyway. I still would like to see a mini jack input on actioncams instead of this usb crap
