I use it for 2 months now. It removes a lot of material and i always wash the knife after use. I use it mainly for making a bad knife back to sharp. Be gentle and dont use force or else it will damage the diamond surface. It will last you forever if you know what you are doing. On the other hand, if you used to sharpen your knifes very often, stick to typical metal rod like htis one: https://bit.ly/2rWLy0K
