Every so often a product comes along that is so incredibly simple and effective, it makes you wonder how you've gotten through life all these years without it. These ratchet belts are such an item. I saw the ad on television, and it looked like a good idea immediately, but I didn't order them. Which was foolish, because had I known how awesome they are... I would have ordered a half-dozen on the spot. As the years have begun to catch up with me a bit, my once trim midsection is in a never-ending battle with all my belts. This belt is very nice. I purchased this as a dress belt, for business meetings and special occasions. I've been using it for a few months now. I was able to easily detach the buckle and cut the belt to the perfect length for my waist. The mechanism to latch and unlatch the belt is almost a work of art. It's sophisticated, but easy to use. I have received several compliments when wearing it. I'm planning to buy another one soon to replace my "every day" belt. Incidentally, this belt is of a much higher quality than the one I purchased in the US from a different manufacturer, and is about the same price. Coworkers assumed I had paid $70 to $80 for this belt
