This metal boxed or the plastic boxed flux is a must have for hand (de-)soldering high pin count chips. Easy to apply even with toothpick and better price per quantity than the various pens. Good quality and no odor thus highly recommended by me.

The 10g pot is ideal for a portable kit. I usually wrap a bit of electrical tape along the side of the pot to ensure it does not swap out while in my bag.
